Financing for Line Dancing
April 21st, 2009 by Pete, Dan & Cathy
Members of the over-50s line dancing group at Downham Leisure Centre have approached me to help them save their dancing class, which is under threat from funding cuts. When I visited the class today I was inspired by the energy and enthusiasm of everyone. I suggested there were three ways we could find funding to save the class:
1. Bid for money from the Assemblies Fund
2. Pay a small weekly fee
3. Convince the Council to pay for the class. We’ll do everything we can to save the line dancing class… just don’t ask me to dance!
